This Privacy Policy explains how Palora (“we”, “us”), operated by Webfluence, collects and uses your information. Palora is a friendship, language-exchange and dating app for adults aged 18 and over.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
Palora is operated by Webfluence. For any privacy question, to request a copy of your data, or to request deletion, contact us at 21naren@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, provided by Google Sign-In. Palora does not collect your phone number.
- Profile information you choose to provide — date of birth, gender, who you are interested in, languages you speak, country and city, photos and a cover photo, bio, interests, prompt answers, and optional details such as height, work, professional headline, hometown, relationship status, drinking, smoking and pets.
- Content you create — Moments (posts), comments, chat messages and voice messages.
- Technical data — a device push-notification token and basic app activity.
3. Location
Palora does not request GPS or device location permission. Your country is suggested from your device time zone, and you choose your city yourself from a fixed list. We only ever store a country and a city name — never precise coordinates.
4. How we use your information
To create and display your profile; to suggest people in your country and city; to deliver and translate your messages; to send notifications you have enabled; and to keep the community safe through content moderation and abuse reports.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. Your profile and Moments are visible to other signed-in Palora users. We use the following processors to operate the service:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage and push notifications.
- Google Cloud Vision — automatic screening of uploaded photos for unsafe content.
6. Automated moderation
Photos you upload are automatically checked for adult, violent or sexual content before they can be shared. Message text is screened for abusive language. Reports you submit are stored so our safety team can review and act on them.
7. Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to stored data is restricted by server-side security rules, so that only you can change your own profile and only participants in a conversation can read it.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account exists.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the app. If you have already uninstalled the app, you can request deletion at https://palora-app.info/delete-your-palora-account/ or by emailing 21naren@gmail.com.
Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, chats, Moments and comments, and your authentication record. We may retain a limited record of abuse reports and blocks where required for safety, fraud prevention and legal compliance.
9. Children
Palora is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and accounts found to belong to minors are removed. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation — see our Child Safety Standards.
10. Your rights
You can access and edit your information at any time from Edit profile, and delete it from Settings. To request a copy of your data or raise a privacy concern, email 21naren@gmail.com.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes we will update the date above and notify you in the app.
