These are the child safety standards for Palora, a friendship, language-exchange and dating app for adults, operated by Webfluence. They apply to everyone who uses Palora, everywhere it is available.
1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Palora strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. This includes, without limitation:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
- Sexualisation of a minor, including in text, images, video, or generated content
- Grooming — building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes
- Sextortion — threatening to share intimate imagery of a minor
- Trafficking of a child for sexual purposes
- Any other content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers a child
Accounts that engage in any of the above are permanently terminated, their content removed, and the matter reported to the relevant authorities.
2. Palora is for adults only
Palora is restricted to people aged 18 and over. We enforce this by:
- Requiring a date of birth during sign-up and blocking anyone under 18 from creating an account
- Requiring every user to confirm they are 18 or older and to accept our Community Guidelines before they can create or share any content
- Requiring a verified Google sign-in — Palora has no anonymous or guest access
- Using Google Play’s age-restriction controls to prevent minors from downloading the app
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it.
3. How to report a child safety concern
Anyone can report a concern, whether or not they use Palora:
- In the app — tap the ⋯ menu on any profile, Moment, or conversation and choose Report. Reports go directly to our safety team.
- By email — 21naren@gmail.com
Child safety reports are treated as our highest priority and are reviewed ahead of all other reports.
4. How we respond
- We remove CSAM as soon as we become aware of it.
- We permanently terminate the accounts responsible and take steps to prevent them returning.
- We report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and to other relevant regional authorities where required by law.
- We preserve the relevant evidence as required to support investigations by law enforcement.
- We comply with applicable child safety laws in the regions where Palora is available.
5. Preventing abuse
- Every photo uploaded to Palora is automatically screened for adult and sexual content before it can be shared.
- Message text is automatically screened for sexual and abusive language.
- Reporting and blocking are available on every profile, every Moment and every conversation.
- Users cannot exchange photos in a conversation until a meaningful number of messages have been exchanged by both people, which limits unsolicited imagery.
6. Child safety point of contact
Our designated child safety point of contact is Narendra Pal Singh, reachable at 21naren@gmail.com. This address is monitored for reports from users, from Google, and from law enforcement and child protection organisations.
